Blue Zushi: new lab tests show up to 28% THC!

Blue Zushi reaches epic new levels! This latest set of independent lab results (customer grown) shows she is indisputably of the most consistently potent feminised strains ever released by Dutch Passion. Below we review another three Blue Zushi lab results showing 24-28% THC levels.

The plants were grown by independent Polish grower Lukasz Czarnocki, founder of the Stonedhenge social club in Alicante, Spain. They were analysed by independent analytical lab ‘Sativanalisis’.

Blue Zushi (Kush Mints x Original Z) is now routinely hitting 25%+ THC levels. Grab this tasty banger for your own weed seed collection while stocks last. Epic results assured for growers, extractors & connoisseurs!

The Lab Tests: Breaking down the numbers

Lukasz grew 10 Blue Zushi feminised seeds under LED but without his preferred sophistication of UVB, CO2 and precision environmental control.

“I will grow Blue Zushi better next time. Of the 10 seeds I selected 8 for lab analysis. All 8 were really special but Dutch Passion had to restrict lab-testing to 3 plants to keep costs down (each lab test can cost €100+)” Lukasz explained. “I know some of the Dutch Passion team well and trust their genetic quality.”

Results: All 3 plants were around/above 25% THC. This is rare in the real world, showing exceptional consistency. Note that the two plants (#1 & #2) with the highest THC levels also had the highest terpene loading. Blue Zushi #3 was Lukasz’s favourite in terms of aroma, yet curiously it had the lowest terpene content. Evidence that lab data sometimes can’t provide the complete story.

Sample 2 was particularly impressive. Achieving 28% THC is a rare feat, but with a full entourage of minor cannabinoids the total cannabinoid content was in excess of 30%.

Total Terpenes: the other half of Blue Zushi’s power

Blue Zushi is more than just a solid 9/10 or 10/10 for potency. The fine breeding and hybridisation of the acclaimed Kush Mints x Original Z parent genetics has also allowed Blue Zushi a fantastically rich, deep dankness. Total terpene content for an average strain is often around 0.6 - 0.7%. Blue Zushi often boasts nearer to 1-1.5% terpenes.

She has an unusually rich and sweet fruity/gassy terpene profile with earthy, floral and sour lemon notes. And tastes just as good as she smells - exceptional!

Occasionally you will find a killer ‘keeper’ phenotype with 2.5%+ terpenes. These shock you with their raw pungency and delicious taste. They also make incredibly tasty cannabis concentrates for dabs etc.

The top terpene found in this example was terpinolene — a relatively uncommon and elusive terpene. Finding it as the dominant terpene is even more unusual, making this strain truly stand out.

It is interesting that in Lukasz’s ‘Blue Zushi #2’ with 28% THC, terpinolene was also the most abundant terpene. Other abundant terpenes often include the citrusy limonene and myrcene. Myrcene often produces a peppery/balsam aroma.

Blue Zushi is a rare genetic line naturally high in THC (& other cannabinoids). But what makes her so special is the heavy terpene loading that comes alongside the extreme potency.

For the connoisseur smoker or pro extract-maker, inherently high terpene levels elevate a good strain into a historic one. Abundant dank terpenes complement the inborn savage potency giving Blue Zushi memorable effects and unique character.

How to unlock Blue Zushi’s full potential

ree

Lukasz has another Blue Zushi grow planned. This time with far better environmental control. Air conditioning, full humidity control, quality LED, UVB in bloom and a recirculating air system with CO2 injection.

The main recommendations for growing Blue Zushi and pushing her insane genetic limits are:

Ensuring good environmental conditions. Temperatures around 25ºC/77F during lights-on and a couple of degrees cooler during lights-off are ideal.

Use quality LED lighting, keeping her in the optical sweet spot throughout. This ensures genuinely heavy yields.

Keep her in the nutrient sweet spot for the XL harvests. Blue Zushi grows with a hybrid growth structure - sturdy branches and large compact indica-style buds. She is a highly sought-after USA cultivar, but also one that really is easy & straightforward to grow in any medium be it soil, coco, hydro or any other.

Soil/coco growers will see good results with air-pots, felt sacks and similar highly aerated grow containers.

She is an indica dominant strain, manageable and not too tall/stretchy with an 8–9-week bloom time. Manage the nutrients well and you will get a harvest of rare quality & pungency. Leaves can become red, dark, sometimes almost black during bloom!

UVB & CO2 boosting is an effort worth going to with Blue Zushi seeds in a pro grow room. She produces super dense buds with fantastic bag appeal. XL yields are an impressive bonus for a variety of this quality. The buds glitter wildly with a penetrating aroma (especially the gassy notes) and are outrageously frosty from top to bottom.

Blue Zushi, new-school genetics with THC overload

If you’re looking for something that is both really special as well as fully proven, then Blue Zushi is one of the most appealing strains available right now! Potency is off the charts; taste & aroma are as loud as you can get. XL yields complete the perfect picture.
